Keep it dry when you can. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally away from heat and sunlight — never use a hair dryer or radiator.
Clean with saddle soap and a damp cloth as needed. Work in small circles, wipe clean, and let dry fully before use.
Condition every few months with a natural leather conditioner to prevent drying and cracking. Avoid silicone-based products.
The leather will naturally darken and develop a patina with use and handling. This is not damage — it's the leather coming alive.
Store in a cool, dry place. If storing long term, stuff with tissue paper to hold the shape.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can fade and dry out the leather over time.

Each Marilyn is made from a different leather, chosen for how it carries the color and ages over time.
The black is cut from La Bretagna Cowboy — a firm, matte vegetable-tanned leather from a family tannery in Tuscany that has been slow-tanning hides since 1961. The red and dark brown from Gaucho Oil — a richer, pull-up leather that deepens with use. The yellow and pink from the Pecos line — a lighter, more supple veg tan with a natural, open grain.
The white is Buttero from Conceria Walpier — one of Italy's most celebrated tanneries. Buttero is known for its waxy, burnished surface that polishes to a near-gloss finish and develops a stunning patina over time. The tan accents pair it with La Bretagna Cowboy.
All leathers are full-grain and vegetable-tanned. No corrections, no coatings. What you see is the hide exactly as nature made it — scars, grain variations, and all.
